Timeless Elegance

Rhinoplasty is widely spread all over the world, because the nose is one of the most prominent features that appear on the face, and therefore rhinoplasty greatly reflects on the aesthetic aspect of the face, enhances the person’s self-esteem, and gives him the look he seeks.

Although rhinoplasty aims to improve the aesthetics of the face, it may help some people breathe better and improve their breathing quality, as it works to rebuild the nasal bones or reshape the nose, which is the reshaping of the bones and cartilage.

Process of rhinoplasty surgery

Preparing for a nose job

We work at the Excellage Clinic to take all information related to medical and family history, diseases and previous surgeries, in addition to personal habits and the expected result.

During rhinoplasty surgery

During the surgery, general anesthesia will be used, where an initial incision is made on the lower face of the nose, then the skin is pulled to reach the cartilage and bone, the doctor works to remove excess cartilage and reshape the bone and cartilage to reach the expected result.

The surgeon may also treat some of the existing nasal problems, which were previously discussed before performing the surgery, such as septoplasty to straighten a deviated nasal septum (deviated tendon), reduce and cut the nasal turbinate.

After rhinoplasty

After rhinoplasty surgery, the surgeon puts a splint on the patient’s nose that fits with the shape of the nose, in order to add a support to the nose in the first period. He also puts bandages inside the nose, which are removed two days after the procedure. As for the sutures are cosmetic, which are absorbed by the body after a while and disappear.

How long does the swelling of the nose last after rhinoplasty?

It is likely that the swelling in the nose will continue for several weeks, and this is considered normal. The results appear after weeks and the improvement continues with the disappearance of the swelling, as it is normal for there to be swelling around the eye and some bruises surrounding it.

How can the pain associated with surgery be relived?

We at Excellage Clinic always recommend our patients to use cold compresses to reduce pain and swelling, as it is considered normal to have pain and discomfort after surgery, and painkillers may be prescribed in the first periods.
